WIS PDX is excited to host a local screening of the eye-opening documentary, Picture a Scientist, on September 13.

The film tells the story of biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring as they encounter gender inequality in science, and highlights the many barriers women in STEM face. The screening venue will be a casual backyard get together with a projector screen and popcorn – bringing blankets and something to drink is encouraged! Can’t make it in person? We’ll have a virtual watch option available as well!

When: Friday September 13, 2024, doors open at 7:30 with movie starting no earlier than 7:45pm
Where: In Person in SE Portland or Online Streaming with Private Chat
Cost: $10 for an in person ticket; $5 for an online streaming ticket.
