Please join us at the George Fox University College of Engineering Winter Networking Reception (formerly Winter Expo). This is not your typical career fair, but George Fox University is not where you will find your typical engineer & computer scientists. The engineering and computer science students will meet you at a specified bistro table location with your company name on it during an informal networking reception.

With no booths to prepare and appetizers provided, we hope that you and your company will find the event a convenient way to meet some highly talented students. We truly feel that we are doing something special here, preparing the bright, exploring minds who attend George Fox for exceptional life outcomes. We invite you to come and see for yourself.

We anticipate about 125 promising mechanical, electrical, civil, biomedical, and computer engineering students as well as computer science majors participating. Students interested in full-time employment and internships represent themselves with business cards and a resume. Each comes prepared for a handshake to match your company’s needs. Participating employers will be sent a list of students attending the event and details on how to access their LinkedIn and portfolios before the event.

Employers will have an assigned shared small bistro table (room to set up a laptop or iPad) with your company name posted. We do not have space for booths or banner set ups. Please enjoy the simplicity of this networking reception event.

You will have the opportunity to provide a 30 second pitch about your company (optional, but strongly encouraged). This will begin at 5:00pm and conclude by 5:30pm for the start of the reception.

Private Interviews: You will have the opportunity to invite a few students to interview with you one-on-one from 6:30pm-7:00pm in the adjacent meeting rooms. Seniors are looking for employment after graduation in early May. Juniors and Sophomores are looking for internships, preferably during the summer, early May through mid August unless they are part time.
