The fourth annual Oregon Bioengineering Symposium will be held on October 6, 2022 at the LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. The meeting will cover all areas of biomedical engineering, highlighting innovations in methods, materials, and models. The goal of the meeting is to promote collaboration and exchange of ideas between students, researchers and practitioners in Oregon and the surrounding region. The symposium will include featured presentations, lightning talks, an industry panel discussion, and an in-person poster session; a virtual poster session will also take place the day before the symposium. To be considered for a lightning talk or poster, an abstract must be submitted. Abstract submission is open. There will be awards for the best student presentations.
Abstract Submission
Abstract submission to present at the OR Bioengineering Symposium is open. Abstracts are limited to 250 words.
Choose whether you would like to be considered for a lightning talk (only an option for abstracts submitted before July 31), in-person poster presentation, virtual poster presentation (deadline of August 15 for poster presentations), or any combination. We will have awards for the top two lightning talks, the top two undergraduate student posters, and the top two graduate student posters. Please note that to be eligible for the poster presentation awards, a presenter must present at both the in-person and virtual poster sessions.
Registration Details
Advanced registration costs are $25 for students and post-docs, $60 for faculty and $125 for non-academic registrants for early registration. We have extended the early registration deadline thru Monday, September 26. After September 26, the registration fee goes up by $25. The registration fee will be waived for the first 100 people to submit an approved abstract.

Featured Speakers – Invited 15 minute presentations with 5 minutes of Q&A
Lightning Talks – 5 minute presentations by trainees followed by a panel Q&A for each set of 3 talks
Industry Panel – Panel discussion of hiring trends and best practices regarding research collaboration between academia and industry
Poster Sessions – In-person traditional poster session format on Oct. 6 and a virtual poster session on Oct. 5
