The growth of small businesses is very important for Sherwood’s economic development and you may know of someone who is interested in starting a business.

The City of Sherwood Economic Development Office and the Sherwood Area Chamber of Commerce are very pleased and excited to be able to work in partnership with PCC/Small Business Development Center, the National League of Cities, and the Kauffman Foundation to present the Kauffman  FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training Program right here in-person at the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce office, starting July 25th.

This is an comprehensive program to help you establish and grow your business from idea to successful launch.   It is open to both (1) new prospective “Main Street-type” businesses and (2) existing entrepreneurs who are seeking additional support and assistance in growing their businesses.  Thanks to a grant from the National League of Cities, we are able to offer this entire 5-part classroom program through the Chamber of Commerce for a total fee of $25.  Again, this one fee is for the entire 5-part classroom series.  Please enroll soon since space is limited.

Training Sessions range from exploring your business idea to identifying the market for your product, setting financial goals, building your team, creating a profitable business, cash flow, obtaining financing and growing your business.
