OTRADI works with its partners to translate today’s research into tomorrow's drugs, vaccines and diagnostics. As a drug commercialization accelerator, OTRADI fills a critical gap in Oregon's drug development pipeline by providing Oregon’s scientific investigators with access to previously unavailable and prohibitively expensive equipment, expertise and resources.

OTRADI’s partners leverage OTRADI's tools to attract funding for bioscience research; increase the speed, number and quality of new infectious disease therapeutics, vaccines and diagnostics commercialized; and translate products into new bioscience companies.

OTRADI works to accelerate a product’s development and commercialization through strategic partnerships and access to its wealth of resources, including world-class expertise and equipment. OTRADI partners have access to the following support system:

Expertise

  • OTRADI-affiliated researchers, faculty, postdoctoral scholars, students with world-class expertise in assay development for cell biology, pharmacology, infectious diseases, cancer, inflammatory diseases, etc.

Instrumentation and Resources

  • Access to bioscience accelerator opportunities for licensing and commercialization of novel chemicals and drug targets
  • Cutting-edge shared drug discovery equipment
  • Novel and commercially available chemical compound libraries
